Children & Young People

We actively welcome & promote our camp for families as we know how important it is to support the next generations to connect to the land and nature.  Years of research shows the emotional, mental and physical health benefits for children when they are allowed to experience the outdoors and learn new skills.  Through outdoor play, children and young people develop confidence and problem solving abilities.

Activities that have been offered over the past few years are:  fire making, den making, kite making, felting, active games, ball games, mindfulness games, story telling, badminton and treasure hunts.   They can also join in with the singing, dance and music sessions that the adults enjoy.   Why don't you bring some of your ideas to camp to share with us?   Children and young people also like to make their own use of their time and often bond with their peers on the field outside of the session times.

We will collaborate as a community to put together activates which young people and young at heart will enjoy, but children are also welcome to attend all the workshops as their parents or guardians feel are age appropriate for them.

Please also bring with you any activities or resources that you feel would be useful:
